Planning permission granted for the conversion of a rural building to form two independent, self-contained dwellings with extensions and detached and attached garaging.

Located within Countryside Beyond the Green Belt, the Council considered that:

‘The proposed dwellings would be of an acceptable, scale, form and design within the context of the site. It is considered that the proposal would have an acceptable appearance and would not result in material harm to landscape character. The proposal would not result in material harm to the amenities of neighbouring occupiers.’

Despite the site’s relatively remote location, the Council also considered that:

‘There are no adverse impacts of the development that would significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits, when assessed against the policies in the NPPF taken as a whole.’
