Large extension approved in the Green Belt and AONB

D&M Planning worked closely with the applicant and architect to evolve a scheme approved by the Council for large extensions. Under national policy building in the Green Belt can be acceptable so long as it does not result in disproportionate additions over and above the original dwelling. In this instance it was a challenge to figure out the exact dimensions and size of the original building. This was essentially required so advice to the architects could be provided to take the scheme forward. Using a range of research methods D&M Planning confidently reached such a conclusion which was agreed by the Council, and planning permission was granted for a two storey rear extension and single storey side extension.
