D&M Planning Ltd have successful secured a resolution from Waverley Borough Council for the erection of 6 dwellings following demolition of the existing bungalow. The site, located on the outskirts of Haslemere, had previously received approval for 4 dwellings. Working closely with a skilled team, Matt was able to provide detailed commentary and analysis to justify why the further intensification on site would be acceptable. This was despite the changing policy requirements and introduction of the Biodiversity Net Gain requirement.
Despite opposition from the local ward member, this major application was resolved for approval. Matt successfully argued that there was no requirement in policy terms for affordable housing on the site, and that the proposal delivered significant benefits not least in terms of housing land supply.
