Temporary Classrooms approved at Surrey Hills School

D&M Planning Ltd have secured permission from Reigate and Banstead Borough Council for the retention of temporary classrooms for the Royal Alexandra and Albert School. The school, a non-selectrive, co-educational state boarding school, is set amongst a number of listed buildings and registered park and gardens and is located within the Green Belt and the Surrey Hills National Landscape.

Matt was instructed to seek permission for the continued retention of a temporary classroom block to ensure that the educational provision at the school could continue. The current permission was due to expire during the middle of the term and Matt was able to successfully argue that its retention was wholly warranted and would represent significant benefits to social and educational outlook of the borough. These benefits, Matt argued, outweighed any harm to either the landscape or historic context of the site. We were happy to see that the Council fully agreed with these submissions.

D&M Planning Ltd have been working with educational providers across both state and private for several years. We have a proven track record of successfully promoting educational provision, either enhancement or expansion, which has been supported by various Councils. With our experience and understanding of the education set up we welcome the opportunity to work with any educational setting. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if we can be of assistance in helping with an education setting.
