D&M Planning have successfully assisted an architect in securing permission for their family home in Mole Valley. The site, located within the Green Belt, was approved at committee following an argument of Very Special Circumstances regarding the quality of the design and its sustainability credentials. D&M Planning provided coherent supporting arguments seeking to utilise one of the exceptions within the NPPF to the assumption of inappropriate development in the Green Belt. A fallback argument of Very Special Circumstances was also included which was picked up by members who ultimately overturned the recommendation of officers and approved the application.
As has been set out by the courts Very Special Circumstances are exactly that, very special, and it is a great achievement to assist in one which has gone through on a design basis. D&M Planning are happy to see if we can help you with your own project.
