Conversion of Listed Building to 8 flats

D&M Planning have obtained planning permission for the conversion of a Grade II Listed building from a community use (Drama school) to 8 residential flats in Guildford Town centre. The building has stood empty for a number of years following the previous tenant, a drama school, moving to new premises.
The approval of both the listed building and planning consent came after lengthy negotiations with the Council. The Council sought to retain a community use for the site even though over several years of marketing the premises there proved to be no interest for a community type of use for the building.
