Waverley Borough Council have approved the application made by D&M Planning Ltd for the extension of a property in excess of the 40% guidance within policy.

Matt successfully argued that the proposed extensions represented appropriate Green Belt development which preserved the openness of the Green Belt, positively responded to the character of the area and did not result in harm to neighbouring amenity. The proposed extension results in an extension over the 40% allowance set out within policy, however, Matt was able to argue that in this instance the increase should not be deemed as disproportionate.
