D&M Planning meet with Chancellor of the Exchequer to discuss planning issues

The Directors of D&M Planning met with Jeremy Hunt MP to discuss a number of planning issues and topics including Local Planning Authority delays in dealing with applications and the impact this has on the local economy and businesses, costs and the amount of documentation associated with planning applications and the uncertainty surrounding planning decisions (especially on small and medium sized developments and projects), weaknesses in the structure of the current planning system as well as raising issues surrounding the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) including citing specific cases as examples.
D&M also advised that it would be happy to look to work / meet with the relevant Government departments in seeking ways to resolve the planning related issues that we currently face.
